PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's outdoor track & field season continues as the Scarlet Knights will be among the 2,500 athletes competing at the Raleigh Relays beginning on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Paul H. Derr Track.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK
The Rutgers women's track and field team opened up the 2015 outdoor season at the USF Bulls Invitational with Stacey Anning(Ridgefield Park, N.J.) taking home the javelin title, Bryanna Grant (Cranford, N.J.) winning the triple jump and Bria Saunders (Parsippany, N.J.) earning ECAC qualifying times in the 100m and 200m.
Anning made her Scarlet Knight debut by throwing for 41.81m (137' 02") in her first place performance in the javelin and posting an ECAC qualifying mark.
Grant placed first in the triple jump at a distance of 12.03m (39' 5 ¾").
Saunders, meanwhile, was the runner-up in the 200m in a time of 23.91 and placed third in the 100m with a finish in 11.77.
RU's 4x100m relay team also collected an ECAC qualifying time in taking third. The squad of Kaprice James (Roselle, N.J.), Saunders, Imani Beauliere (Union, N.J.) and Madelen Soto (Newark, N.J.) clocked in at 46.44.
