Golf Finishes Eighth At River Landing

WALLACE, N.C. -- Rutgers women's golf finished eighth with a 926 (315-299-312) at the River Landing Classic on Sunday, April 12 at the River Landing Course in Wallace, N.C.
Freshman Emily Mills and junior Racquel Zurick paced the Scarlet Knights as they tied for 27th with a 229. Mills carded a 79, season-low 74 and 76. Zurick turned in the best score of the weekend for RU with a second-round 73 to go along with a 79 in the first round and third round 77.
Junior Christina Paulsen finished in a tie for 36th with a 232 (78-78-76), while Gabrielle Sacheli tied for 50th with a 239 (81-74-84). Sacheli also recorded a season-low score of the spring with a 74 in the second round.
The Scarlet Knights posted a season-low 299 in the second round of the River Landing Classic behind performances from Zurick, Mills and Sacheli.
Rutgers will prepare for the Big Ten Championship when the tournament tees off in Indianapolis, Ind. on Friday, April 24.
