Golf Posts Strong Second Round

WALLACE, N.C. -- Rutgers women's golf posted a season-low 299 in the second round of the River Landing Classic behind performances from Racquel Zurick, Gabrielle Sacheli and Emily Mills. The Scarlet Knights will close out third-round play on Sunday, April 12 at the River Landing Course.
Zurick paced the group with a 73, followed by Sacheli and Mills who each had their season-low score of the spring with a 73 apiece. Christina Paulsen added to the effort with a birdie on her final hole to card a 78 and get the Scarlet Knights to their season-low 299 second round score.
Zurick is tied for 23rd in a field of 68 golfers, while Mills is in a tie for 28th place.
Rutgers currently sits ninth as a team with a 614 (315-299) and is 11 strokes back of the top-five teams. Delaware is in the lead with a 593 after the first two rounds, followed by James Madison and Columbia in a tie for second with a 595.
Following the River Landing Classic, Rutgers will prepare for the Big Ten Championship when the tournament tees off in Indianapolis, Ind. on Friday, April 24.
