NEWBURGH, Ind. -- Rutgers men's golf is in 14th place with a 962 (328-322-312) total after three rounds of the Big Ten Championships, played Friday and Saturday at Victoria National Golf Club. Freshman Toks Pedro is pacing the Scarlet Knights through 54 holes, carding a 236 (78-75-83) to enter Sunday's final round tied for 59th in the 70-player field.
Senior Jacob Stockl provided RU its best round of the event on Sunday, carding a 73 on the par 72, 7,124-yard course. He has improved with every round and enters the final 18 holes in 67th place with a 242 (86-83-73).
Sophomore Michael Howe, freshman Matt Holuta and junior Louis Bodine comprise the remainder of the RU scorecard. Howe is 68th with a 246 (90-81-75), Holuta is 69th with a 249 (83-83-83) and Bodine is 70th with a 251 (81-89-81).
Illinois leads with a score of 845 (284-281-280). Ohio State sits in second (877), while Iowa is in third (878). On the individual leaderboad, Illinois' Nick Hardy is in first with a score of 208 (71-69-68), followed by Maryland's David Kocher (210) and Iowa's Carson Schaake (211).
