EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Rutgers women's track and field team was in action on day two of the 2015 Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
Freshman Bria Saunders (Parsippany, N.J.) was .1 second off her PR in the 100m as she placed 14th with a time of 11.87. She landed one position higher in the 200m taking 13th in crossing the finish line in 24.07.
Senior Christina Dibernardo (Woodbury, N.Y.) also put in a notable performance in the 200m running to a PR of 24.84.
In the 400m, junior Alayna Famble (Stockbridge, Ga.) ran to a season best. She finished in a time of 56.35.
Rutgers also saw top 15 performances from Scarlet Knights in the javelin and long jump.
Freshman Kelsey McDonald (East Brunswick, N.J.) threw for a personal best 43.04m (141' 2 ¾") in taking 11th in the javelin. She bested her previous mark of 42.55m from the Larry Ellis Invitational in mid-April. Additionally, classmate Stacey Anning (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) took 13th with a distance of 42.12m (138' 2 ½").
Junior Tacquaya Tobias (Sicklerville, N.J.) finished in 14th the long jump reaching a distance of 5.55m (18' 2 ½").
