Three Women's Golfers Recognized by B1G

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Seniors Racquel Zurick (West Trenton, N.J.) and Christina Paulsen (Ridgewood, N.J.) and sophomore Emily Mills (Colts Neck, N.J.) are among the Big Ten Women's Golfers to Watch, it was announced Wednesday by the Conference.
Zurick was Big Ten 2014-15 Distinguished Scholar and 2015 Spring Academic All-Big Ten honoree. She played in all 12 events during the 2014-15 season, totaling 32 rounds. Also a 2013-2014 American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection, Zurick produced a season-low 73 (79-73-78) en route to a 10th place finish at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate this past spring.
Paulsen competed in 11 events, totaling 29 rounds during the 2014-15 season after transferring from Jacksonville University. A 2015 Spring Academic All-Big Ten Honoree and Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, she led RU with a 229 (77-76-76) at the Big Ten Championship this past spring.
Mills was a Women's Golf Coaches Association Division I All-America Scholar and led the program with a 78.27 average during the 2014-15 season. She competed at the 113th North & South Women's Amateur Championship, played at historic Pinehurst No. 2 this summer.
Rutgers, under the leadership of head coach Kari Williams, opens its season this weekend (September 4-6) at Nittany Lion Invitational in State College, Pa. The Scarlet Knights, who have eight returning letterwinners on the roster, are slated to compete in five tournaments this fall.
