Stringer To Miss Nebraska Game
Jan 16 | Women's Basketball
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Assistant coach Timothy Eatman will take over head coaching duties for the Rutgers women's basketball team's game at Nebraska as head coach C. Vivian Stringer attends to her mother, Thelma Stoner, who has fallen ill in recent weeks.
"Unfortunately at this time my family and I must surround my mother with love and support during this difficult stretch," said Stringer. "I have full faith in Coach Eatman, the staff and the Scarlet Knights to carry on in my absence and I will rejoin the team as soon as I am able. I want to thank everyone who has already reached out with kind words and prayers as they have meant so much to me and my family at this time."
The Rutgers women's basketball team takes on Nebraska at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m. (ET). The game will air on BTN.
