2016 WSOC Open House/ID Clinic Announced

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's soccer program will hold a 2016 Open House/ID Clinic on campus on Saturday, Feb. 27. A detailed tour schedule of the day's activities is listed below. To reserve your spot and register for the clinic please contact RUWFC@scarletknights.com.
Tour Overview
12 - 3 p.m.
Optional Tour of Rutgers University and Athletic Facilities (bus tour guided by Rutgers coaching staff)
4 - 5:30 p.m.
Clinic I
5:30 - 7 p.m.
Clinic II
** Tour is optional. Please let us know if you will attend and how many will be in your party so we can give the bus company an accurate head count**
**Clinic is designed for you to attend one clinic. We have broken it into two groups because of the amount of girls who have attended in the past**

12:00 p.m. - Check-In: The Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC)
**Please ensure you arrive on time as the bus will be leaving shortly after 12 p.m.**

12:30 p.m. - Speech by Marisa Viola, Rutgers Soccer Strength and Conditioning Coach
Prospects will be introduced to Rutgers Women's Soccer Strength & Conditioning Coach, Marisa Viola. As a former Division I soccer player herself, coach Viola has first-hand knowledge of soccer specific exercises to ensure the Rutgers Women's Soccer team stays strong and injury free both during the season and in the off season.
1 p.m. -Speech by Shawn Tucker, Student Athlete Development
Shawn Tucker, a former Rutgers football player, has started the Rutgers Leadership Academy. The mission of the Rutgers Leadership Academy is to equip student-athletes with the skills necessary to achieve success during and after their collegiate careers by providing them with opportunities for career leadership, community, and personal enrichment.
Speech by Dr. Shawn Arent
Dr. Arent is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Studies at Rutgers University. He is also the Director of the Human Performance Laboratory and Director of the Center for Human Performance in the Institute for Food, Nutrition, and Health. Dr. Arent works closely with the Rutgers Women's Soccer team in the following areas.
- Monitoring and analyzing their Polar Heart Rate Data
- Periodization
- V02 Testing
3 p.m. Tour Concludes back at Livingston Campus
Drop off point will be The Livingston Plaza, which is directly across from the RAC. Prospects will have the opportunity to relax and grab some lunch. Dining options available at The Livingston Plaza:
