MACON, Ga. - Women's golf is seventh with a 608 (305-303) total after the first two rounds of the 12-team Idle Hour Collegiate Championship, played Monday at Idle Hour Golf Club. Team captain Emily Mills paced the Scarlet Knights on day one, carding a 151 (76-75) to enter Tuesday's final round tied for 16th in the 71-player field.
Mills was minus two on par threes, even on par fives and had 24 pars on the par 72, 6,136-yard course.
Fellow junior Tatum Jackson (73-79) and freshman Carrie-Ann Lee (77-75) joined Mills among the top 25, tied for 22nd with 152 totals. Jackson had six birdies and 16 pars, while Lee was even on par three with 22 pars.
Redshirt sophomore Ashleigh Greenham and freshman Ana Cortes rounded-out the RU scorecard. Greenham is tied for 28th with a 153 (79-74) and Cortes is tied for 52nd at 161 (81-80).
Troy is atop the leaderboard with a 596 (304-292), one stroke ahead of host Mercer. Southern Miss is third, five strokes off the pace with a 602. The Scarlet Knights enter the final 18 holes in front of James Madison, Gardner Webb, Samford, Western Carolina and Wofford.
The Trojans' Fatima Cano is the individual leader with a two-under 142 (73-69).
