Nov 02 | Women's Cross Country
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Women's cross country junior Alexandra Juzwiak was named a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, it was announced Tuesday by the conference.
The Big Ten Sportsmanship Award is presented to an individual who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These students must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Juzwiak was RU's top finisher at the Big Ten Championships last weekend and also placed among the top 10 at the Metropolitan Cross Country Championships earlier this month.
In the classroom, Juzwiak, a pyschology major, has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and helped the Scarlet Knights to be named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
