Gymnastics Announces 2017 Promotions

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Highlighted by "Coach Lou's Luau" for the Jan. 28 meet at the RAC, Rutgers Athletics has announced a series of different promotions for the four home regular season gymnastics meets scheduled for the 2017 season. The Scarlet Knights will host three meets at the Livingston Gym in addition to the competition at the RAC.

Led by head coach Louis Levine, "Coach Lou's Luau" involves a Hawaiian themed meet with fans encouraged to wear island shirts, with flower clips and leis given to the first 500 in attendance. Hula dancers will be on hand and tropical drinks will be available in the lobby. An auction will take place for seats in a private loge box that includes food, tropical drinks and a meet-and-greet with the team afterwards. The meet is also Alumni Night and Junior Knights Night.
A t-shirt toss will take place at the beginning of every meet and following 9.7 performances by the Scarlet Knights. See below for the full promotional schedule.

Saturday, Jan. 28 vs. Michigan State, Cornell, Ursinus (7 p.m., RAC)
• "Coach Lou's Luau"
• Flower Hair Clips Giveaway (first 500)
• Leis Giveaway (first 500)
• Hula Dancers
• Tropical Drinks
• Alumni Night (5-7 p.m. social in the hospitality corner)
• Junior Knights Night (members can get in free with their membership booklet and receive a stamp in their booklet, or pick up a new membership booklet there if they do not already have one; the first 30 Junior Knights to arrive to the meet will be allowed to walk out of the locker room with the team)
Saturday, Feb. 11 vs. Maryland, Penn, Yale (7 p.m., Livingston Gym)
