NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J. - Wrapping up weekend road action, the Rutgers tennis team defeated Seton Hall, 5-2, Sunday afternoon in New Providence, N.J. The Scarlet Knights captured the doubles point and secured four singles victories during the match.

In doubles play, sophomore Chloe Lee (Albuquerque, N.M.) and junior Kesenija Tihomirova (Riga, Latvia) collected a 6-3 victory over SHU's Julia Keenan and Katie Kim in the No. 2 position. The win marked the duo's second win in as many matches. Senior Lindsey Kayati (Monroeville, N.J.) and junior Farris Cunningham (Houston, Texas) defeated Seton Hall's Isabell Klingert and Thandy Kangwa, 7-5, in the No. 3 position to secure the doubles point.

Rutgers saw wins in four singles matches against the Pirates, with Gina Li (Hillsborough, N.J.) delivering a 6-3, 6-0 decision over Seton Hall's Luize Strike in No. 1 singles. Senior Mariam Zein (Sugarland, Texas) contributed a 6-0, 7-6 (1) win in the No. 4 position over Katie Kim, while Kayati picked up her second win of the day in No. 5 singles in thrilling fashion, defeating Isabell Klingert, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 10-1.

RU concludes its three-game road swing on Saturday, Feb. 20, when the Scarlet Knights compete against Army in West Point, N.Y.
