COLUMBUS, Ohio - Rutgers women's golf is 10th with a 628 (320-308) total after two rounds of the 12-team Lady Buckeye Invitational, played Saturday on the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club. Senior Christina Paulsen led the Scarlet Knights on day one, carding a 153 (79-74) to enter Sunday's final round tied for 29th in the 75-player field.
The tournament format enables six players to compete per team, with the four best scores counting, replicating the format at next weekend's Big Ten Championship.
Sophomore Emily Mills also performed well on the initial 36 holes, posting a 155 (78-77) on the par 72, 6,319-yard course. She is tied for 33rd.
Senior Racquel Zurick, freshman Astrid Aneman, senior Jacquelyn Mullens and sophomore Tatum Jackson round-out the Rutgers scorecard. Zurick is tied for 41st with a 157 (79-78), Aneman is tied for 63rd with a 164 (85-79) Mullens is tied for 66th with a 165 (84-81) and Jackson is 71st with a 171 (85-86).
The Scarlet Knights are ahead of Maryland and Seton Hall.
No. 14 Kent State is in first place with a one-under par 575 (288-287), 11 strokes ahead of second place Indiana (586). Ohio State is in the show position with a 591. Defending tournament champion Josee Doyon of Kent State is atop the leaderboard with a six-under 138 (70-68).
The final round tees-off on Sunday with tee times beginning off holes 1 and 10 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. Live scoring is available via Golfstat.com.
