Women's T/F Announces 2017 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women’s track and field team released its 2017 indoor and outdoor schedules on Monday. The Scarlet Knights will host two meets this season, including the annual Rutgers Invitational at the Busch Bubble and the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships at the Bauer Track and Field Complex.
The indoor season kicks off once again with the Rutgers Invitational on Jan. 6-7 and will follow with the Beantown Challenge hosted by Harvard on Jan. 14. The month of January continues with the Penn Quadrangular on Jan. 21 and the Villanova Open on Jan. 27.
February opens up with the Metropolitan Championships on State Island on Feb. 3. Action continue for the Scarlet Knights with the Valentine’s Invitational on Feb. 10-11.
The indoor season wraps up with the Big Ten Indoor Championships at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio on Feb. 24-25, the ECAC Championships in Boston on Mar. 3-5 and the NCAA Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas on March 11-12.
The outdoor season gets underway with the Bulls Invitational hosted by USF on March 16-17 and the Colonial Relays at the College of William and Mary on Mar. 30-Apr. 1.
The month of April continues with the Tennessee Dogwood Relays on Apr. 6-8 and the squad spilt between the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California and the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on campus the weekend of Apr. 14 and 15. Rutgers’ Bauer Track and Field Complex will be the host site for the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships for the second-straight season.
The championship season gets underway with Penn Relays held at Franklin Field on April 27-29 and continues with the Big Ten Outdoor Championships hosted by Penn State on May 12-14. The NCAA East Regional in Lexington, Kentucky will take place May 25-27 and the NCAA Outdoor Championships will once again be held at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon on June 7-10.
