Women's X/C Competes at Rider Invite on Friday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's cross country team travels down the road to race in the Rider Invitational on Friday evening at Rosedale Park in Pennington. The women's race will begin at 5 p.m. with the men's race following at 5:45 p.m.
In addition to the Scarlet Knights, teams from Marist, Siena, Richmond, Temple, LIU Brooklyn, TCNJ and Wagner will be competing on Friday.
Last weekend, Rutgers opened up the 2016 season at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College, Pennsylvania. The Scarlet Knights raced against four teams featured in the USTFCAA Poll with Allyson Black leading RU with a ninth place performance.
Following Friday's race, Rutgers will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota for the Griak Invitational, racing on the same course used for the Big Ten Championships in November.
