Women's Golf Heads to State College

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The RU women's golf team heads to State College, Pa. this weekend to compete in the Nittany Lion Invitational. The tournament begins on Saturday with two rounds and concludes on Sunday with another 18 holes.
The Scarlet Knights are coming off a solid showing at the Rutgers Invitational, where they placed second out of the 12-team heat, carding a 934 (312-306-316) total. Second year captain Emily Mills won the 70-player individual match-play with a score of 220 (74-71-75). In her first event for Rutgers, redshirt sophomore Ashleigh Greenham came in 13th with 233 (76-76-81) and recorded an event-best minus one in par three scoring.
At last year's Nittany Lion Invitational, RU placed fifth out of the eight teams that participated in the tournament. Mills finished third in the 54-player event, with a score of 220 (73-75-72). Tatum Jackson tied for 16th recording a 229 (77-78-74) on the par 72, 6,355-yard course.
Penn State won the 2015 Nittany Lion Invitational, carding an 889 (295-293-301) total.
