Women's X/C Travels to Griak Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's cross country team travels to Minnesota this weekend to race in the 31st annual Roy Griak Invitational. The Griak Invitational is one of the largest meets in the country featuring six collegiate and four high school races.
The Scarlet Knights will run in the Jack Johnson Women's Gold competition scheduled to get underway at 2:20 pm. on the Les Bolstad Course in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
The Scarlet Knights are also getting an early look at the course will they race come mid-November at the Big Ten Championships.
Last weekend, RU competed at the Rider Invitational and were led by junior Nisa Cicitta on the 6K course. Two weeks ago, Rutgers opened up the 2016 season at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College, Pennsylvania. The Scarlet Knights raced against four teams featured in the USTFCAA Poll with Allyson Black leading RU with a ninth place performance.
Following this weekend's Griak Invitational, the Rutgers women's cross country team heads to the Paul Short Invitational in Lehigh, Pennsylvania on Saturday, Oct. 1
