PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Rutgers women's track and field team is set to compete this weekend at the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field marking the final meet before the Scarlet Knights compete at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.

5:30 p.m. - College Women's Distance Medley Championship of America Invitational
Friday, April 28
3:40 p.m. - College Women's 100m - Bria Saunders
4:45 p.m. - College Women's Javelin - Katherine Johnston, Alison Chomsky
6:21 p.m. - College Women's Sprint Medley Championship of America Invitational
Saturday, April 28
10:00 a.m. - College Women's High Jump - Rhonda Rogombe
4:10 p.m. - College 4x800m Championship of America Invitational
LAST TIME AT PENN RELAYS:
Current Scarlet Knights Phyllis Gordon and Bria Saunders were members of the 4x200m relay squad that raced to a season-best time of 1:34.37 taking third in the Championship of America Final.
The 4x800m relay squad, which included senior Sarah Robbie, sophomore Jenna Sobieski and senior Ellen Miller, combined for a time of 8:56.79, also took third setting a new season best.
Bryanna Grant continued to shine for the Scarlet Knights in the triple jump. Grant took fourth with a distance of 12.14m (39' 10") and was only .04 meters off her then-personal best.
Rutgers also had notable performances in the 5000m. Fifth-year senior Paige Senatore clocked in under the 17-minute mark for the first time in her career. She logged a PR of 16:57.35, taking off nearly 25 seconds of her previous best in capturing the Metropolitan Championship three weeks prior. Additionally, sophomore Allyson Black posted her best time of the outdoor season in 17:13.37.
LAST TIME OUT:
Junior Bria Saunders and senior Katherine Johnston captured titles in the 200m and javelin respectively at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Saunders logged a new PR in the 200m with a time of 23.55 and also placed eighth in the 100m and in anchoring the 4x100m relay.
Johnston threw a distance of 46.22m (151' 8") in the javelin for her second title of the season.
Other notable finishes for the Scarlet Knight last weekend in Atlanta included a season-best for sophomore Phyllis Gordon in the 400m (54.96), a fifth-place throw for freshman Alison Chomsky in the javelin (37.78m/123' 11") and a fourth place height for sophomore Rhonda Rogombe in the high jump.
