PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers University Women's Golf, under the leadership of head coach Kari Williams, will host the fifth annual Unger-DeBlasio Cup at the Rutgers University Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 29. Former letterwinners, alumni and friends of the program are welcome to participate in the highly-anticipated event, which will celebrate 40 years of women's golf "On the Banks."
This year's Unger-DeBlasio Cup has been expanded an additional day, to incorporate the Rutgers-Ohio State football game on Saturday, September 30. Participants have the option to purchase a ticket for the game and take part in pre-game festivities and tailgate beforehand.
To register for the Cup, please visit the Rutgers University Alumni Association's event page.
Playing, reception and sponsorship opportunities are available. After registration, warm-up and a continental breakfast, the event tees-off with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. A lunch reception with the team will take place after all rounds are completed at approximately 1:30 p.m. A cocktail reception, hosted by the RFund, with coaching staff and program alumnae will take place in the evening.
Proceeds from the Cup will benefit the Rutgers University Women's Golf Program.
Over 6,300 yards in length, the picturesque, tree-lined, PGA sanctioned Rutgers University Golf Course is a par 72 and offers a challenging layout with four teeing areas per hole. Highlights include narrow fairways, fast greens, and water hazards on nine holes. Founded in 1963, the course is located on the Busch Campus. The mission of the course is to ensure that every player enjoys a timely round of golf played on superior fairways and true greens with uncompromising service and instruction.
