Tennis Announces 2017 Fall Schedule

Scarlet Knights begin season with three invitationals, ITA Regionals
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis announced its schedule for the 2017 fall season. The campaign features three invitationals and an appearance at the ITA Regional Championships.
The Scarlet Knights begin their fall slate at the Brown Invitational from Sept. 22-24 in Providence, Rhode Island. At last year's Brown invite, Jacqueline Cochrane and Katherine Muzik each collected two singles victories in their collegiate debuts for RU.
Rutgers continues with the Navy Invitational from Oct. 6-8 in Annapolis, Maryland. Cochrane and Farris Cunningham captured the "B" flight final in doubles action, while Cochrane appeared in the finals of the "C" flight at last year's event.
The Scarlet Knights make their return to the ITA Regional Championships from Oct. 18-23 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Three Scarlet Knights – Cochrane, Mingxiu Du and Chloe Lee – represented the program in the main draw of last year's championships.
RU closes out the fall season at the Buffalo Invitational from Nov. 3-5 in Buffalo, New York.
Rutgers returns six student-athletes from last year's team that finished 8-13, which included the program's first two Big Ten Conference victories in school history. Rookies Isabelle DaSilva, Maya Jacobs and Katherine Rosenberger will also compete for the Scarlet Knights beginning this fall.
