Rutgers Lacrosse Schedule
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 7 Rutgers men's lacrosse began its spring season with the team's first day of practice Tuesday. The team announced that it will be led by four captains this season: seniors
Michael Rexrode,
Jules Heningburg,
Christian Mazzone and
Austin Divitcos.
Rexrode returns for his second season as a captain. He was a Third Team All-American and First Team All-Big Ten selection last season after leading the conference with 23 caused turnovers.
Inside Lacrosse tabbed the Leesburg, Va. native as a Preseason First Team All-American in their Face-off Yearbook Preview.
Heningburg also will be a two-time captain. An Honorable Mention All-American last season by the USILA, he scored 20 goals with 26 assists for 46 points as a junior. The Maplewood, N.J. native has 81 goals and 37 assists for 118 points in 46 career games.
Mazzone enters his redshirt senior season as a captain. The midfielder from Stony Brook, N.Y. native has compiled 10 goals and 12 assist for 22 points, along with 93 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers in his 46 game career.
Divitcos is a defensive midfielder from Richmond Hill, Ontario. The senior has played in 40 career games with 17 ground balls, 10 caused turnover and four points.
Rutgers men's lacrosse season tickets are now on sale. Fans can now purchase tickets for the eight home games through the Rutgers ticket office online
here or by calling 866-445-4678. For those purchasing season tickets prior to Feb. 1, the season ticket price will be $40. The 2018 season starts on Feb. 3 with a contest against Robert Morris.
