NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Carrying Rutgers' consistent momentum, the duo of junior
Kat Muzik and freshman
Tess Fisher advanced to the semi-finals of the doubles draw at the ITA Northeast Regional Women's Championships at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Sunday.

Muzik and Fisher opened the day with an 8-5 triumph over Columbia's Jennifer Kerr and Sarah Hu. The pair then went on to win an 8-7 (5) rally over Brown foes Courtney Kowalsky and Devon Jack, securing a spot in the semifinals to meet Sofya Golubovskaya and Sofya Treshcheva of Syracuse.

Also in doubles action, junior
Jaci Cochrane and freshman
Kristiana Zahare dropped a tight 8-7 (5) decision of their own to Boston University's Shelly Yaloz and Emily Kim.

In singles play, sophomore
Maya Jacobs took on 17th-seeded Caroline Dunleavy of Yale, falling 6-1 in the opening set. She then rallied back with a dominant 6-0 victory in the second to balance the dual. Jacobs, however, would fall in the deciding set, 6-0.

Monday's competition will feature the singles quarterfinals beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the doubles semi-finals no earlier than 12:30 p.m. Doubles scoring will be two out of three sets, with a 10-point tie-break in lieu of third set.Â
