997 AND COUNTING ...
The Scarlet Knights are poised to give head coach C. Vivian Stringer her 1000th career win. Needing only three victories for the hall of fame coach to reach the historic milestone, RU's third home game of the season with Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, Nov. 13 is the earliest Stringer can become the sixth NCAA women's basketball coach to accomplish the feat. Stringer will join an elite group who have captured the milestone century mark including Stanford's Tara VanDerveer, Connecticut's Geno Auriemma, North Carolina's Sylvia Hatchell, Bently's (DII) Barbara Stevens along with former Tennessee head coach Pat Summitt and men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski of Duke.
