Tennis Releases 2019 Spring Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis has released the spring portion of the 2018-19 season, head coach Hilary Ritchie announced Monday. The campaign features 10 nonconference dual matches and the 11-match Big Ten slate.
"We are excited about this upcoming spring schedule," said Ritchie. "We are hosting a few new teams that the ladies are looking forward to competing against."
Rutgers begins its spring schedule with two home matches against Delaware (Jan. 25) and Penn State (Feb. 1) at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The first road dual match will be at Army on Feb. 8 before returning home to face Brown on Feb. 16. The Scarlet Knights close out the month with two road matches against in-state rivals, Princeton (Feb. 20) and Seton Hall (Feb. 24).
Next up, Rutgers hosts its final nonconference matchup at home against Buffalo on March 1. The Scarlet Knights then head to state of Maryland for their next two matches at Towson (March 8) and Maryland (March 9).
Rutgers begins its spring break week with home matches against Minnesota (Mar. 15) and Wisconsin (Mar. 17). The week wraps up in New Orleans with duals against Southern University (Mar. 22) and Binghamton (Mar. 23).
After hosting Northwestern (Mar. 27), Rutgers sets out on its first Big Ten road trip of the season against Illinois (Mar. 29). The following conference road trips include Iowa (Apr. 5) and Nebraska (Apr. 7).
Rutgers final home weekend of the season includes matches with Michigan (Apr. 13) and Michigan State (Apr. 14). The Scarlet Knights conclude the regular season with a road trip to Indiana (Apr. 20) and Purdue (Apr. 21).
