Stringer Becomes Sixth NCAA Women's Basketball Coach To Reach 1,000 Career Victories
Stringer became the sixth women's head coach in NCAA history to join the elite 1,000 career victory club.

QUICK STATS
Senior forward Caitlin Jenkins led Rutgers with her second double-double of the season, registering 14 points and 12 rebounds. Redshirt-senior forward Stasha Carey posted 12 points followed by redshirt-junior guard Ciani Cryor with 10 points to round out the double-figure scorers.
FIRST QUARTER
Rutgers cruised to a 10-3 lead to open the game. Graduate student guard Charise Wilson helped fuel the burst with six straight points during the span. The Scarlet Knights continued to control the contest, growing its advantage to 17-8 by the end of the frame.
SECOND QUARTER
RU extended a 24-4 run into the second quarter, as Cryor started off the stanza with a three-pointer that ignited a 10-0 surge.
The lead would only grow as the Scarlet Knights outscored the Blue Devils 20-9 in the stanza. Overall, six different Scarlet Knights contributed to scoring for a 37-17 lead entering halftime.
THIRD QUARTER
The Scarlet Knights would reach a margin of 25 multiple times in the third quarter. Although the teams would trade points at the remainder of the frame, Rutgers held onto a 52-33 lead heading into the final quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
An 11-5 run to open the fourth would give RU a 65-38 advantage, its largest of the night, as Jenkins and Arella Guirantes led the charge with eight and six points, respectively, finishing off a 29-point margin of victory.
KNIGHT NOTES
- Rutgers head coach Stringer has compiled a 1,000-402 career record now in her 48th season of coaching and is the sixth NCAA head coach to join the elite 1,000 career victory club in women's basketball. Stringer is the fifth active winningest Division I coach and sixth all-time in career wins in NCAA women's basketball history.
- Stringer joins fellow 1,000 club members Pat Summitt (Tennessee), Tara VanDerveer (Idaho, Ohio State,Stanford), Geno Auriemma (UConn), Barbara Stevens (Bentley) and Sylvia Hatchell (Francis Marion, UNC) on the women's side and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski on the men's side.
- Caitlin Jenkins posted her second double-double of the season and 20th of her career.
