Rowing Tops Navy In Varsity Race

Scarlet Knights earn top-two finishes in varsity eight event
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers rowing finished out its fall racing schedule against Navy on the Raritan River for the Rutgers Fall Classic on Saturday, Nov. 3 in New Brunswick.
The Scarlet Knights placed five boats in the varsity eight event, winning the race in 15:00 and taking second in 15:14. Rutgers finished in fourth place in 17:40, while the remaining two boats went seventh (19:33) and eighth (20:35).
Navy won the novice eight event with one of the Scarlet Knights' four boats finishing second. The Midshipmen ended the 2018 season ranked 18th in the final NCAA Division I Poll.
