PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Former Rutgers women's basketball national champion, Chris Dailey, member of the 1982 AIAW Championship team will be enshrined into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, it was announced on Monday.
Dailey is in her 33
rd season as a member of the Connecticut women's basketball staff, where she has helped the Huskies to 11 NCAA Championships and 18 Final Four appearances.
While "On the Banks" from 1978-82, the New Brunswick, New Jersey native was a two-time captain helping the Scarlet Knights to a 108-23 (.824) during her career, including the 1982 AIAW Division I National Championship with an 83-77 victory over Texas her senior season.
Dailey and her 1982 teammates were inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in 1992.
Prior to joining the Connecticut staff, Dailey was an assistant on the sidelines with Cornell (1982-83) and the top assistant under former head coach Theresa Grentz at Rutgers (1983-85).
The 2018 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Class will be inducted on June 9, 2018 in Knoxville, Tennessee.Follow Rutgers women's basketball at
