Three Runner-Up Performances in Jumps at Valentine's Invite

Rutgers Women's T/F Posts Second Place Performances in Triple Jump, Long Jump & High Jump
BOSTON, Mass. – Three runner-up performances in the jumps highlighted Rutgers women's indoor track & field's appearance at the Valentine's Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday. Fifth-year Bryanna Grant in the triple jump, junior transfer Oniesha Clarke in the long jump and freshman Courteney Campbell in the high jump all logged second place finishes.
All together, the Scarlet Knights produced six top eight finishes.
Grant leapt to a distance of 12.16m (39' 10.75") as the runner-up in the triple jump, while Campbell reached a height of 1.70m (5' 7") to clear the bar in the high jump for second place.
Clarke, meanwhile, placed second in the long jump at 5.82m (19' 1.25") and also took fifth in her first appearance in the 200m this season. The Waterbury, Connecticut native set a new PR in the 200m in 24.19, besting her previous top time of 25.27 set at the 2016 ECAC DIII Championships.
Freshman Jacqueline Simmons produced a fourth place finish in the long jump by registering a new PR at 5.68m (18' 7.75").
Redshirt senior Drew Andrew qualified for the 60m hurdle finals and finished in eighth place in 9.12.
Rutgers also saw ECAC qualifying times by fifth-year senior Sarah Robbie and junior Jenna Sobieski in 800m. Robbie ran a season best 2:12.11, while Sobieski captured a new PR in 2:13.02, topping her previous best of 2:14.00 set a last year's Metropolitan Indoor Championships.
Sophomore Nadia Saponara reset her PR in the 3000m for the second-straight weekend. She crossed the finish line with an ECAC qualifying time of 9:54.81, surpassing her previous time of 10:04.56 set last weekend as the runner-up in the event at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships.
Several members of the Rutgers women's indoor track and field team continue competition on Saturday at the Spire Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.
