4x200m Relay Squad Advances To Eastern Finals at Penn Relays

Scarlet Knight Alumnae Asha Ruth & Gabby Farquharson Race With Team USA
PHILADELPHIA – Rutgers' 4x200m relay team advanced to the Eastern Finals to highlight the Scarlet Knights women's outdoor track and field team's appearance at the 2018 Penn Relays.
The team of juniors Phyllis Gordon and Oniesha Clarke, sophomore Arianne Strunkey and senior Bria Saunders raced to a season best 1:38.30 to qualify for the Eastern Finals. In the finals, the quartet bettered its opening heat time by nearly two seconds to take fifth with a time of 1:36.36.
In the triple jump, Bryanna Grant reached a distance of 11.95m (39' 2.5") to take eighth place in the event.
Up next, the Rutgers women's outdoor track and field team begins preparations up for the 2018 Big Ten Outdoor Championships hosted by Indiana in Bloomington on May 11-13.

Also in action at Penn Relays were two Rutgers greats in Asha Ruth and Gabrielle Farquharson racing with Team USA.
