Bryanna Grant Named Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Graduate student Bryanna Grant was named the Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree, it was announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.
The Big Ten Conference office recognizes student-athletes from each team as Sportsmanship Award Honorees. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Grant broke the Rutgers triple jump record at the Big Ten Championships on May 13. She recorded a 12.80 (42' 0") to take fifth place beating Rutgers previous record set at the Metropolitan Championships of 12.57 (41' 3") in 2007.
Earlier in the season Grant placed first in the triple jump at the Bulls Invitational, was runner up at the ECAC Championships and claimed first at the Metropolitan Championships for the third consecutive season.
