Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

Five Scarlet Knights collect ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis was named an ITA All-Academic Team, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced. Five Scarlet Knights also collected ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. The Scarlet Knights posted a team GPA of 3.55 in 2017-18.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.
Scarlet Knights Jaci Cochrane, Mingxiu Du, Chloe Lee, Lee Levy, and Kyra Yap earned Scholar-Athlete recognition for their strong performance in the classroom. The five Scarlet Knights were previously named Academic All-Big Ten accolades following the 2018 Spring season.
Additionally, Du, Lee, Levy and Yap garnered Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors, having achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher for the 2017-18 academic year.
