PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers Department of Transportation Services (DOTs) has announced a new Virtual Parking Pass system on campus. While parking for non-ticketed sports is free, guest event parking will require a one-time, online registration per sport good for the entire 2018-19 season.
Per university parking guidelines, students and faculty/staff must adhere to assigned lots at all times and will not be allocated event parking outside their designated parking assignments. Â
Fans can also visit the Rutgers Athletic Marketing table prior to each event's start to assist with vehicle registration and questions.

The Virtual Parking Pass systems instituted by DOTs eliminates the need for hangtags and paper tickets, aligns with the university's commitment to the environment and provides guests with a convenient, paperless, self-managed parking system. License plate recognition technology that captures and reads a vehicle license plate will confirm that the vehicle is registered and has permission to park on campus.
