BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Rutgers football (1-5, 0-4) lost to Indiana (4-2, 1-2), 35-0, on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
Sophomore running back Isaih Pacheco rushed for 44 yards, including a 28-yard scamper, while redshirt freshman quarterback Johnny Langan added a 32-yard rush against the Hoosiers.
Senior defensive back Damon Hayes recorded his second interception of the season and sixth in his career when he picked off Michael Penix Jr. in the second quarter. Hayes also recovered his first career fumble and added a pass breakup. Junior linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi led the Scarlet Knight defense with 12 tackles (one for a loss) and a forced fumble, while senior defensive tackle Willington Previlon added two tackles-for-loss for RU.
Junior punter Adam Korsak produced four punts that landed within the opponents' 20-yard line and added three punts of 50 or more yards, including a game-high attempt for 68 yards.
UP NEXT
Rutgers will host Minnesota on Saturday, Oct. 19 for Homecoming at SHI Stadium. The game will start at 3:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
