Metropolitan Runner-Up Captured New 5K PR in Captured Team TItle
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Following a runner-up performance at the 2019 Metropolitan Cross Country Championships last weekend, which helped paced the Rutgers women's cross country team to a first place finish, junior Olympia Martin was named the Big Ten Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Martin led the Scarlet Knight pack with a new 5K PR crossing the finish line in 18:19.5 and was a mere .4 second off the Metropolitan individual champion.
