PISCATAWAY, N.J. – A season-high 13 former Rutgers football players competed during Week 15 of the 2019 NFL season. Tyler Kroft hauled in the go-ahead touchdown reception to help Buffalo to a 17-10 victory over Pittsburgh on Sunday Night Football, as the win clinched just the second playoff berth for the Bills since 2000. Saquan Hampton collected the first tackle of his career for New Orleans, while Logan Ryan produced eight or more tackles for the eighth time in 2019.

With wins during Week 15, Buffalo (Tyler Kroft) and New England (Duron Harmon, Devin McCourty, Jason McCourty and Mohamed Sanu) clinched playoff berths. Baltimore (Gus Edwards) and New Orleans (Saquan Hampton) have also secured spots in the 2019 postseason, as seven Scarlet Knights have all punched tickets to playoffs.

Saturday Football
With the college football regular season officially over, the NFL will hold games on Saturdays during Week 16 and 17. Tyler Kroft and the Bills will play against Duron Harmon, Devin McCourty, Jason McCourty and Mohamed Sanu and the Patriots at 4:30 p.m., while Sebastian Joseph-Day and the Rams will play at San Francisco at 8:15 p.m. Both games are on NFL Network.
Tyler Kroft's game-winning touchdown on Sunday makes it five touchdowns for Scarlet Knights in 2019, as Gus Edwards and Mohamed Sanu have each produced two touchdowns this season. Sanu has hauled in touchdown receptions for both Atlanta and New England, while Edwards has muscled two rushing scores in 2019. The longest touchdown belongs to Edwards, who ran 63 yards into the end zone during Baltimore's Week 11 victory over Houston.
Standout Season Continues for Ryan
With his eight tackles on Sunday, Logan Ryan eclipsed 100 tackles for the first time in his career. In 14 games this season, Ryan is first on the team in tackles (102), passes defended (21), interceptions (4) and forced fumbles (4) and is third in sacks (3.5). Ryan has logged eight or more tackles in eight games this season, including his season-high 13 stops against Kansas City in Week 11.
Defensive Back Production
Former Rutgers defensive backs have had an impressive impact in NFL secondaries, with four Scarlet Knights accounting for 12 interceptions in 2019. Devin McCourty leads the way with five interceptions, Logan Ryan has four, Duron Harmon has two and Jason McCourty has one. Along with rookies Blessuan Austin (New York Jets) and Saquan Hampton (New Orleans), former RU defensive backs have accounted for 225 tackles, 50 passes defended and 12 interceptions this season.
