PRINCECTON, N.J.  – Rutgers tennis fell to Princeton, 6-1, on the road Wednesday evening. Junior
Kat Muzik collected a win at the No. 3 singles position for the Scarlet Knights.

RU moved to a record of 3-2 on the season, while Princeton improved to 6-3.

DOUBLES PLAY
Although the pair of freshman
Tess Fisher and Muzik claimed a 6-2 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot, Princeton evened the score with a win at the No. 3 position.Â
Sophomore
Maya Jacobs and
Jaci Cochrane nearly captured the point for RU, but Princeton's Stephanie Schrage and Nathalie Rodilosso edged out a 7-6 (4) win to claim the team doubles point.

SINGLES PLAY
Moving into singles play, Muzik rallied a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory over the Tigers' Clare McKee, moving to a 4-0 in singles play this season.

At the No. 4 singles spot, freshman
Sydney Kaplan battled hard, dropping a tight 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 match to Princeton's Grace Joyce.

Kristiana Zahare and Zahare both fell just short of sending their matchups to the deciding third set in the loss.Â
