PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (5-7, 0-3) dropped a 20-3 Big Ten Conference game to No. 2 Maryland (12-0, 3-0) Saturday afternoon at HighPoint.com Stadium. Redshirt junior Dakota Pastore, sophomore Taralyn Naslonski and freshman Marin Hartshorn all netted goals in the loss to the Terrapins, who entered the game as one of just three undefeated teams left in the country.

Facing a squad averaging 33 shots per game, redshirt freshman Kameron Halsall produced 13 saves, including a season-high 11 first-half stops. The Caldedon, Ontario, Canada, native has now registered 10 or more saves in five outings this season during her first collegiate campaign.

On the draw, Hartshorn was matched up with her sister, Kali Hartshorn, as Marin muscled three draw controls for the Scarlet Knights. Both starred at Allentown High School in Monmouth County during their scholastic careers.

UMD used a balanced scoring attack to earn the league win, as five Terps produced two or more goals. Griffin Brindi led the way for the visitor with four goals, as Maryland outshot RU, 40-20, en route to the victory.

Rutgers has a quick turnaround as it hosts Cornell on Tuesday, April 2 for a 4 p.m. matchup in Piscataway.
