Men’s T/F Off to Princeton and Virginia Meets

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's track and field splits its squad for appearances at the Virginia Challenge and Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational on April 19-20.
At UVA, events are slated for a 9 a.m. start on Friday and a 10 a.m. start on Saturday. Princeton's Friday events are set to begin at 2 p.m. with competition starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Rutgers defended its Metropolitan Outdoor Championships title last Saturday at the Bauer Track and Field Complex. The Scarlet Knights claimed 14 event titles and 25 Top 3 finishes overall to help register 273.5 points for the win.
Fordham finished in second with 136 points followed by Manhattan in third with 135 points.
Senior Izaiah Brown (100m), sophomore Taj Burgess (200m, 400m), sophomore Billy Hill (1500m), freshman Andrew Daniluk (110m hurdles), and freshman Jameson Woodell (400m hurdles) all collected titles on the track.
The 4x100m, 4x800m, and 4x400m relays all finished first.
In field events, graduate student Chris Mirabelli (javelin), junior Perry Christie (high jump), freshman David Bausmith (pole vault), sophomore Malachi Davis (triple jump) and senior John Mooers (discus) claimed individual titles.
