Men’s Golf Closes Regular Season at Kepler Intercollegiate

Scarlet Knights compete Friday, Saturday in Columbus
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf returns to action this weekend to compete in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on Friday and Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. The 54-hole event will be played on the par-71, 7,455-yard Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club.

Friday, April 19: 8:15 a.m. EST Shotgun, second round begins 30 minutes after conclusion of first.
Saturday, April 20: 8 a.m. EST on holes 1 and 10

Gotterup finished tied for fourth to highlight action for Rutgers at the Rutherford Intercollegiate this past Sunday in State College, Pennsylvania. Despite heavy rain that plagued the backend of the final round, the Scarlet Knights finished seventh with a 879 (293-287-299), one stroke behind Big Ten Conference foe Minnesota.
Gotterup, who was atop the leaderboard heading into Sunday's final round, produced a two-under-par 211 (71-67-73) during the three-round event to secure his second top-5 individual finish of his career. Gotterup finished his three rounds with 10 birdies, an eagle and was second at three-under-par in par four scoring.
Last Time at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate
Gotterup, then a rookie, finished tied for 34th to lead the Scarlet Knights during last year's three-round event. As a team, RU finished 12th with a 905 (300-294-311). In a loaded field that featured four teams ranked within the Golfstat Top-50 and eight Big Ten programs, No. 42 Purdue captured the team title, followed by No. 13 Illinois and No. 40 Penn State.
