Men’s T/F Unveils 2019-20 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's track and field unveiled its 2019-20 schedule for its indoor and outdoor seasons. Both seasons feature top invitationals to gear up for the Big Ten and NCAA Championship meets.
INDOOR SEASON
Rutgers opens the indoor portion of the schedule on January 11th at the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invitational. The Scarlet Knights then compete at the Vanderbilt Indoor Meet (Jan. 17-18), the Boston Thomas Terrier Classic (Jan. 25), and the Metropolitan Championships (Jan. 24-25) to round out the month.
Moving into February, RU travels to Notre Dame for the Meyer Invitational (Feb. 7-8) before returning to Boston for the Valentine Invite (Feb. 14-15). Additionally, the squad will also compete at Arkansas' Tyson Invitational on Valentine's weekend (Feb. 14-15)
The Big Ten Indoor Championships follow on Feb. 28-29 hosted at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Next up, the IC4A Championships are slated for March 7-8 in Boston. The NCAA Championships follow on March 13-14 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
OUTDOOR SEASON
On March 20, Rutgers moves outdoors and down to Florida for the two-day Hurricane Invite at Miami. The Scarlet Knights conclude the month at North Carolina's Raleigh Invite (March 27-28).
RU returns to the Sunshine State for the Florida Relays from April 2-4, while some Scarlet Knights stay local for Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational on April 4.
On April 10-11, Rutgers hosts the 2020 Metropolitan Outdoor Championships at the Bauer Track and Field Complex. The month then wraps up with the Georgia Tech Invite (April 17-18), Princeton's Larry Ellis Invite (April 17-18), and the historic Penn Relays (April 23-25).
The Scarlet Knights will have their final tune up for championship season at the Don Webber Kentucky Classic on May 2, the site of NCAA Regionals.
The Big Ten Outdoor Championships are set for May 15-17 at the University of Wisconsin. NCAA Regionals will take place in Lexington from May 28-30. The NCAA Championships is slated for June 10-13 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
2019-20 SEASON RECAP
Rutgers continued to raise the program standards in 2018-19, collecting numerous Big Ten medals and establishing new records while excelling in the classroom. Overall, the Scarlet Knight triumphs included two All-Americans, three All-Big Ten performers, three Big Ten medals, 16 podium finishes at the conference championships, and 11 NCAA qualifiers.
As a team, Rutgers earned its fifth straight Metropolitan Indoor Championship title and second straight Metropolitan Outdoor Championship title, while finishing as runner-up at the IC4A Indoor Championships. A full recap of the 2018-19 season can be found here.
