NASHVILLE, TENN.  – Rutgers track and field continued its 2020 campaign at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational Jan. 17-18 in Nashville. The Scarlet Knights posted two new school records and numerous PRs to keep its early season momentum rolling.

WOMEN'S RESULTS
Junior
Courteney Campbell reset the high jump record with a result of 1.80m (5' 10.75"), finishing first in the field of competition. Freshman
Claudine Smith added a school record of her own in the triple jump, leaping to a mark of 12.68m (41' 7.25") to set the new RU standard.
Sophomore
Reanda Richards led RU on the track, finishing second in the 400m with a time of 55.09.

In the long jump, junior
Jacqueline Simmons (5.97m (19' 7") and sophomore
Gabriela Sanchez (5.73m (18' 9.75") each recorded new personal-bests in the event. Sophomore
Zia Barr also added a PR in the triple jump, notching a 11.97m (39' 3.25") result.

MEN'S RESULTS
Junior
Taj Burgess claimed the 400m title, clocking a time of 46.63. In the 200m, sophomore
Antonio Tarantino finished fourth with a time of 21.47.

Sophomore
Nadale Buntin made his Scarlet Knight debut with a PR in the triple jump, leaping to a 15.15m (49' 8.5") to finish fourth in the event.
