Track and Field To Compete At Terrier Invitational

Scarlet Knights posted record-breaking performances in back-to-back weekends
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's and women's track and field will travel north to compete in the John Thomas Terrier Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center on the campus of Boston University on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25. The Scarlet Knights are coming off record-setting performances in back-to-back weekends.

Rutgers posted a pair of school records on the women's side with junior Courteney Campbell establishing a new height in the high jump of 1.80m (5' 10.75"), while freshman Claudine Smith posted a school-best mark in the triple jump with a distance of 12.68m (41' 7").
Junior Taj Burgess, who ran the second-fastest 500m time in NCAA history at the season-opening meet, won the 400m title with a time of 46.63 at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational. Sophomore Nadale Buntin made his Scarlet Knight debut with a PR in the triple jump, leaping to a 15.15m (49' 8.5") to finish fourth in the event.
Rutgers will compete at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships on Thursday, Jan. 30 through Friday, Jan. 31 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
