Scarlet Knights coming off sixth-straight men's title at Metropolitan Indoor Championship and third finish in a row in top-3 for the women
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's and women's track and field will travel to Notre Dame to compete in the Meyo Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. Live results of the meet are available here and a live stream of the events will be available on Saturday.
The men's team claimed its sixth-straight Metropolitan Indoor Championship last weekend and the women's team finished second in the field to place in the top-3 for the third-consecutive indoor season.
The Scarlet Knights recorded 14 event titles and 31 Top 3 finishes overall.
Junior Taj Burgess picked up two event titles in the 200m and 500m. Sophomore Andrew Daniluk won the 60m hurdles, while classmate Nadale Buntin finished first in the 400m. The men's team also captured titles in the 800m, 4x400m, 4x800m and went 1-2-3 in the mile. In the field events, junior Perry Christie finished first in the high jump and sophomore A'nan Bridgett took second, while senior Jarrod Brovero won the pole vault.
On the women's side, sophomore Reanda Richards took first in the 500m, junior Olympia Martin won the 5000m and the distance medley relay team of Kiera Nealon, Dakota Gerges, Kayla Rosario, and Martin placed first in the event. RU finished second in the 4x400m and 4x800m relays, while junior Courteney Campbell took the high jump title.
Rutgers will next compete at the Tyson Invitational on the campus of Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
