
Track and Field Heads to IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's and women's track and field will travel to a familiar site when it heads to Boston for the IC4A and ECAC Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 7 through Sunday, March 8 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

The Scarlet Knights competed at the venue twice this indoor season, turning in school-record and personal-best performances. Junior Taj Burgess eclipsed his school record in the 500m at the Terrier Invitational in January.
Rutgers is coming off the Big Ten Championships with junior Perry Christie capturing bronze in the high jump. He was joined on the podium by Burgess who took fourth in the 400-meter dash, while sophomore Nadale Buntin took fifth in the triple jump.
The women's team was led by junior Courteney Campbell, who placed sixth in the high jump and freshman Claudine Smith who finished sixth in the triple jump.
At the 2019 Indoor IC4A Championships, the Scarlet Knights placed second overall. RU recorded five event titles and 11 top-3 finishes at the meet. Rutgers posted a fourth-place team finish at last year's ECAC Championship behind five top-5 performances and an event title.
