DURHAM, N.H. – Rutgers gymnastics posted its highest road score in program history with a 195.900 to win a quad meet at New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. The Scarlet Knights used season-highs on bars and beam as well to top No. 15 Auburn (195.825), Central Michigan (195.175), and UNH (195.075).

"We are so proud of how the team competed this weekend. They used the momentum from Friday's meet to propel them today," said Umme Salim-Beasley. "They were so determined to go out and show what they could do against some tough competition. Coming home with a win against the three ranked teams shows that we can compete with the best teams in the country."

FLOOR

Rutgers hit the floor to begin the meet, as junior Belle Huang finished second with a 9.850. Freshman Hannah Joyner tied for third with a 9.825. Freshmen Jordyn Duffield (9.725) and Jenna Ferguson (9.700) rounded out the 9.7 or higher scorers to aid a team score of 48.750 in the event.

VAULT

Moving to vault, senior Kaitlyn Hall matched her career high of 9.875 for the third time this year to place second. Junior Toni Williams and Joyner followed with identical marks of 9.775, while Huang added a 9.700 to contribute to a team score of 48.750.

BARS

The Scarlet Knights found its rhythm on bars, posting a season-best 49.150 as a team. Senior Shannon Farrell, sophomore Abigail Karolewski, and Joyner all registered a 9.850. The score marked career-highs for Karolweski and Joyner. Junior Emily Drauss and Huang added in 9.800s to the total, notching the the third-highest team score for Rutgers in the event.

BEAM

The momentum and energy carried into RU's final rotation on beam, where the Scarlet Knights set a new season-best with a team mark of 49.250. Joyner won the event title with a 9.900, her seventh time reaching the mark this year. Senior Erin McLachlan, sophomore Kiera Doherty-Herwitz, and Huang all tied for third with 9.850s. The score marked a personal best for Doherty-Herowitz, while sophomore Sage Littlejohn added a personal high as well at 9.775.

ALL-AROUND

Joyner took the all-around title, matching her personal best result of 39.350. Huang followed in second with a 39.200.

KNIGHT NOTES

The win over No. 15 marks the highest recorded victory in program history, as well as RU's first ever win over an SEC opponent. It is the highest ranked win since 2014, when the Scarlet Knights defeated No. 19 Ohio State.
Rutgers posted its highest road score in program history with a 195.900, marking the fourth best team score ever. The road total tops a result of 195.825 set at an away meet in March of 2014.
RU posted a season-best 49.150 on bars, coming in as the third best team score in the event in history.
The team beam score of 49.250 marked the best this season, which resets the second-highest score in the event set in January of this year. RU upped the total from a 49.200 set on Jan. 31 at Penn State.
The Scarlet Knights closed out the weekend with a 5-0 record, having won a home tri-meet on Friday night with a 195.625.

UP NEXT

Rutgers closes out its regular season with a home meet on Friday, March 13. The meet will begin 7 p.m. ET at the RAC.
