PISCATAWAY, N.J. –  Rutgers gymnastics has announced its schedule for the 2021 season. The 10-event slate features four Big Ten Conference duals at home, three league duals on the road, and one conference tri-meet away. Exact dates, times and television selections for away meets will be finalized at a later time and the initial schedule is subject to change. 
 
Additionally, the Big Five Meet is slated for the weekend of Feb. 26 and the Big Ten Championships are set for weekend of March 20. Locations for both competitions are to be determined.
 
The 2021 campaign opens on the weekend of January 15, as the Scarlet Knights travel to Michigan for a tri-meet with the Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes. RU then returns home for back-to-back duals against Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Maryland on Saturday, Jan. 30. 
 
Next up, Rutgers travels to Nebraska (weekend of Feb. 5) before hosting Ohio State on Sunday, Feb. 14. A trip to Minnesota follows on the third weekend of February.  
 
The Big Five Meet will take place the weekend of Feb. 26 with more information to be released at a later date.  
 
Following the Big Five Meet, the Scarlet Knights remain on the road for the third straight week with a visit to Maryland (weekend of Mar. 5). RU hosts its final dual of the season against Penn State to round out the regular season on Saturday, March 13.  
 
The postseason begins with the Big Ten Championships the third weekend in March at a location to be announced.

All events at Rutgers Athletics indoor competition venues will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor gatherings. As a result, gymnastics meets will not be open to the public this season.  
 
Rutgers looks to carry momentum from its 2020 campaign, when the program produced its highest road score ever with a 195.900 to cap the shortened season. The score lifted RU over #15 Auburn for the Scarlet Knights' highest recorded ranked win and first win over an SEC opponent. Building off numerous event records and other triumphs from last year, senior captains Emily Drauss and Belle Huang will lead RU into the new year.
