Men’s Golf Readies for Loaded Fighting Irish Classic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf continues its fall campaign at the Fighting Irish Classic in South Bend, Indiana. The 54-hole event, hosted by Notre Dame, takes place Monday and Tuesday at the Warren Golf Club, a par 70, 7,023-yard venue.

Sophomore Rhett Sellers secured the first top-10 finish of his collegiate career with his six-under-par scorecard to highlight action for Rutgers at the Old Town Club Collegiate Invitational last week in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Two Scarlet Knights - Sellers and junior Luke Wells - came in under par at the 54-hole tournament, held at the Old Town Club. As a team, RU finished under par with its one-under-par 839 (278-28-281), good for 11th in the 15-team field.

Rutgers heads to Vero Beach, Florida, to compete in the Jake Owen/Quail Valley Collegiate Championship from Oct. 17-18. The two-day tournament is hosted by Michigan State.
