Â
RU's defense was stifling in the first half, forcing six PSU punts and allowing just 120 yards of total offense prior to the break. The Nittany Lions scored in the final two minutes of the second quarter when quarterback Christian Veilleux found Jahan Dotson for an eight-yard touchdown pass to give Penn State a 7-0 lead at the half.
Â
Rutgers registered three tackles-for-loss and a sack from Fogg in the first 30 minutes of the game, as Singleton and defensive back
Kessawn Abraham also recorded TFLs.

Â
Korsak bombed his furthest punt of the afternoon after the Scarlet Knights' opening drive of the second half, as he drilled a 74-yard attempt to the Penn State seven-yard line. But PSU was able to add back-to-back touchdowns late in the quarter for a 21-0 lead after three.

Noah Vedral connected with wide receiver
Bo Melton for a 34-yard completion to the PSU 27-yard line. However, the Nittany Lions held the Scarlet Knights out of the end zone. Penn State added another touchdown midway through the fourth to secure its home win.
