Colucci, Olivieri Capture Unattached Titles at ESU Open

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Competing unattached, Joseph Olivieri (133) and Niccolo Colucci (HWT) captured individual titles at the 2021 East Stroudsburg Open on Sunday. Seven members of Rutgers wrestling competed unattached at the open, held all day at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Olivieri went 4-0 in his bracket, which included a 10-2 major decision over Raymond Lopez (USMAPS) in the 133-pound final. Olivieri joins his older, Anthony Olivieri, as ESU Champions after Anthony secured the 174-pound title in 2019. Colucci also went 4-0 on Sunday en route to his title, as he defeated Kevin Mulligan (Centenary) in the heavyweight final and recorded two falls to open the tournament.
Tony White (149, 3rd) and Devon Britton (133, 4th) also placed at the open.
