Big Ten Releases 2021 Baseball Schedule

Scarlet Knights to open March 5 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers baseball will open its 2021 season on March 5 against Indiana inside U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings. The Scarlet Knights are scheduled for 13 weekends of action in a Big Ten-only slate.
In addition to facing the Hoosiers twice the opening weekend, RU will also take on host Minnesota two times on the road trip. The second weekend is also away with a four-game set at Maryland.
Rutgers' first home series of the season is a three-game set versus Ohio State the weekend of March 19. Other home opponents include Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State and Illinois. There is also a home pod the weekend of May 7 that will include two games apiece versus Indiana and Nebraska.
All events at Rutgers Athletics venues will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on gatherings. As a result, baseball games at this time will not be open to the public.
The Scarlet Knights are also scheduled to travel to Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan and Nebraska for series, while taking part in a four-game pod at Penn State with Minnesota.
